I love my job. As a matter of fact, calling photography a job, is almost wrong (but that is another conversation, for another day). Here I am, standing on a hill, overlooking the Golden Gate bridge and San Francisco on a clear, fog less day. Two beautiful people invited me to be here. I am here to do my “job”. That, is why I love my “job”.
We headed down to Rodeo beach in the Marin Headlands. The golden haze of bright sunlight was upon us and made for amazing light and airy images.
On the beach, there were these enormous tree trunks that have stood the test of time and weathered all seasons. I found it very fitting and a promise for the future, for Kat and Andrew’s young love to be in the presence of these statues of time. Together, Andrew and Kat stood out against the background. Their love is eminent and made it easy to capture amazing images.
Andrew moved to the Bay Area from Illinois. He is a wonderful guy! Always smiling, great with kids and eager to listen when you talk. We met him at Lifecity church and are always looking forward to see his smile. He loves to be outside and during a hike on the hill across the Golden Gate bridge, he made a promise to himself:” This is where I’ll ask my future wife if she’ll marry me…”
And here we are today… On that exact spot, where Andrew made this promise to himself… This is where he got engaged to Kat, the love of his life and future wife. Kat is fun-loving, friendly and always eager to hear how you are doing. The two of them are just so in love and sweet together. They remind me of a quote from Moulin Rouge: “The greatest thing you’ll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return”. They were naturals and so easy to capture beautiful images of. We were also blessed with a wonderful day. The red curves of Golden Gate bridge was the most excellent backdrop to their love.

Andrew and Kat, thank you for allowing to do my job in such a beautiful location. I am very excited for your wedding day and I am looking forward to a great celebration of your love.
