I really enjoy maternity photography. Expecting mothers have a natural beauty and glow. I also have a soft spot for autumn. To quote Albert Camus, an Algerian philosopher, “Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower”.
When Leann suggested Berkeley Botanical garden as the location for her maternity session, I was really excited. This would be my first visit, but I’ve read wonderful reviews while doing research online. And let you tell me, this botanical garden did not disappoint… We were surrounded by “autumn flowers”. Against this backdrop, Leann was ready to blossom! I can spend my days in gardens like these <3
Leann has travelled the world and is very comfortable in her own skin. She has lived her dreams and are now very ready for the next exciting adventure: parenting. She has a pure and raw natural beauty, which is only enhanced by her maternal glow. Her dress was complimented by the autumn colors of the Berkeley Botanical garden. Almost like an autumn flower fairy, she blended right in. Everything came together for a series of beautiful images. Just pure, raw, natural beauty…
It was almost magical.
Thank you Leann for the privilege of meeting you and being a part of your story. I wish you a happy and easy pregnancy and delivery.
“There is no better time than the autumn to begin forgetting the things that trouble us, allowing them to fall away like dried leaves. There is no better time to dance again, to make the most of every crumb of sunlight and warm body and soul with its rays before it falls asleep and becomes only a dim light bulb in the skies.”
