“What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice,
And everything nice,
That’s what little girls are made of.”
In the heart of a public San Jose rose garden, at the golden hour of the day, I found myself in the middle of “sugar and spice and everything nice”. My dear friend, Tara and her beautiful daughter, Lucy, were sitting down to a late afternoon tea party. I was fortunate to capture and portray the serious and playful moments of their mother-daughter relationship. The golden rays of the late afternoon sun, provided a natural glow to the moments we had together. A few times I had to pinch myself… Just to make sure I was not in a dream taking place a few centuries back. With floral crowns and all dressed up in pink, they reminded me of a time of “sugar and spice…”.
Thank you Tara for taking the time out and making the effort to make this a most memorable family photography session. Your family and our friendship is one of many reasons I love the Bay Area.
