Let me just start by saying, I just adore Scott & Ariel!
I loved serving these two and their family and friends on this special day! Ravenswood Historic site near Livermore, played host for the beautiful early spring wedding of Scott and Ariel. I’ve been looking forward to this day since my first meeting with the couple. They are so in love and lovely to work with.
Scott and Ariel tends to take the road less travelled by and this led to an open air ceremony at Ravenswood Historic site.. Under the covering of tall and slender trees, just starting to shine with their bright green spring attire, the guests were waiting for the couple to arrive. Scott was beaming with anticipation. As Ariel appeared, he was noticeably touched. Scott’s father delivered a touching sermon to the couple and they finally said their “I do’s”. “You may kiss the bride”, had everyone cheering…
Bigger bridal parties always make for loads of fun and this wedding was no exception. Ariel and her 5 bridesmaids were full of giggles and laughs as they were preparing for the ceremony. Their flowy gowns set the tone for the rest of the day. The 6 groomsmen that stood at Scott’s side, were also up for the challenge. Once we had everybody together, they all fell in line and we took some great images. The spontaneity and joy were infectious.
At the reception, bright white tables were waiting for the guests. The green lawns of Ravenswood, was the perfect contrast. Ariel and Scott proceeded to the patio to cut the cake. I caught some fun pictures of the newly weds helping each other to a piece.
At the very end of the reception, during the golden hour of sunlight just before sunset, I snuck away with the guests of honour. Love is easy to capture when the couple is in love and Scott and Ariel made my job real easy. Ravenswood had so much to offer in terms of background… The new promise of everlasting love, played the perfect contrast to the ruins on the site. The light was soft and glowy. After all the California rain, the field was luscious green and it was fitting for the couple to share in this new growth. Under age old trees, Scott and Ariel bloomed and I can see their love also lasting the test of time.
Scott and Ariel, thank you so very much for allowing me to capture the images of your beautiful day and relationship. I truly appreciate the trust you placed in me and the friendships I gained! Big Love to you!xoxo
